The minimalist and tamad girl that I am has something to do with this. Well, to be honest, I barely do anything to my face other than washing it regularly and moisturizing. I consider myself to be fortunate to have a good and clear skin and I’ve to thank my genes for blessing me with such. Never struggled with keeping it clear, breakouts aren’t much of my problem except on those days, IYKWIM.
I’m not one to put on heaps of skin care products because I thought I might damage it or might cause breakouts. Boy, I was wrong. I’ve come to a realization that I’m not getting any younger anymore and I can’t just rely on my genes to do its job. So I had to do my work and research on what’s best for an oily skin type like mine.
Believe me, I’m so forgetful and lazy about the nitty gritty so this one would only take five minutes or less. Not to mention that I’m also tipid, this skincare routine costs just around a thousand bucks.
Not really particular about the brand but I just tend to buy some whenever I pass by Korean brands and get me some mask. I usually pick what’s best for oily skin such as Green Tea, Bamboo or Peony. I do this once a week or whenever I feel like my face needed some boost.

Oh, the satisfaction I get whenever I see those blackheads on the strip! I buy this box of 10 strips that usually last for a month or two depending on the pesky blackheads. It’s super sulit! Like the face mask, I also do this once a week.

I was so wrong about not removing my makeup first before I start cleaning my face. I always ended up looking like a panda with black marks because of my mascara. I opt with the variant for my skin type. After that, I feel so fresh that I can just lay in bed lol.

I know this is bad but I use this everyday since I commute and I need to get rid of all the dirt and gunk. I use less pressure so I don’t get to damage my skin. I don’t know if that’s okay though but it works for me. It’s so good and I super love the scent plus it has 100% natural exfoliants.

This one is recently added in my routine. I was blinded by the myth that toners make skin dry and that they sting. I didn’t know toners can shrink the appearances of pores. I’ve been looking for an alcohol-free toner and glad I found one upon watching Camie Juan’s vlog. What I love about this is that it doesn’t sting plus it has rose water that super smells good, I feel fresh!

I was hesitant at first in using oil for my skin type. I thought it will make it worse or cause me pimples but boy, I was wrong again. I use it every night as a moisturizer. After a month of use, I noticed lesser breakouts during those days. I also use this as a makeup primer and I love how gives a natural glow to my skin. Matte but not flat!
I know these aren’t complete but merely the basics so I have here my skincare wishlist to step-up this game. These are quite expensive though that’s why I couldn’t cross these off my list, heh. I’m actually saving up and treat these as investments for my skin. Hope by the end of the year I can update this with my review!
There you have it! Let me know what’s yours (hopefully those with oily skin too so I can relate) and maybe you could suggest me what works for you so I could try.
