Looking at those shades of blonde, brown and grey really excite me to have my hair coloured but it can also lead to damage. Last year, I decided to go full blonde. I totally loved it but it was really hard to maintain. I had to re-apply the colour every four months because it’s fading and I didn’t want to cut it short. With all the bleaching and hair colouring process that my hair has to go through, it made my hair unmanageable, dry, and frizzy.
I’m so done with my hair so I decided to have a hair repair treatment. Now it’s important to research first before you decide since there is a lot of it now. I came across the two most popular hair repair treatments— Keratin and Brazilian Blowout.
Brazilian Blowout vs Keratin Treatment
Brazilian Blowout and Keratin treatment are both hair smoothing treatments to improve the health of colour-treated hair and make it appear naturally straight if you have straight hair or enhance your curls/waves if you have hair like so. This treatment strengthens the bond protein, conditions the hair, reduces frizz, and makes your hair shiny.
Although both end results are quite similar, the most preferred option is the Brazilian Blowout since it’s more convenient. It usually just takes 90 minutes for the whole treatment. With Keratin treatment, you can’t have as many options of styling or just even creasing your hair. With Brazilian Blowout, you can style it whatever you want it to and will just go back into shape.
Before
And so after my research (yes, I told you to research and so I did and I hope you learned too), I went to Mary Pauline Salon Main Square Mall Branch for hair colour and to try out Brazilian Blowout. They just had their grand opening and so I dropped by at their newly opened and cozy salon.
As you can see, my hair was so dry, damaged, and frizzy. Imagine how I dealt to have this kind of hair for months, eww. I even bought those expensive shampoos and conditioners but didn’t work at all. I also had to maintain the colour just so it looks okay.
Hair Color
Before proceeding with Brazilian Blowout I asked for hair colour. As you can see it was so dull and looked like a faded balayage and I just wanted it to look even. Mary Pauline Salon offers Majirel Hair Coloring System by L’Oreal Paris and Ashley Shine Hair Colors so you can just pick whichever you like. Having a hair colour and a Brazilian Blowout on the same day is perfectly okay as the cuticle is already open from the colour.
The Brazilian Blowout
After having my hair colored, we began with the Brazilian Blowout.
Important Reminder: There are many salons that are claiming to offer Brazilian Blowouts but aren’t using the original treatments. Be sure to find the certified salons by checking Brazilian Blowout PH or at least follow this procedure:
1) The stylist cleansed my hair with the specially formulated Ionic Cleanser to prepare my hair.
2) After towel and blow-dry, the stylist divided my hair into sections and began applying the Brazilian Blowout Professional Smoothing Solution from root to tip. We waited for some minutes to let it settle and for my hair to absorb it completely.
3) The stylist then blow dried and brushed my hair smoothly to untangle the ends.
4) After that, the stylist divided my hair into sections and began using a flat iron to seal in the solution.
5) Once the flat ironing is done, the stylist applied the Brazilian Blowout Ionic Bonding Spray throughout the hair, let it settle then rinsed my hair and towel dry.
6) After that, the Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Serum was applied to entangle hair strands prior to final blow dry and styling.
After
I could really tell the difference while they’re doing the final blow dry. My hair now is so soft especially towards the ends. I swear I can’t stop touching it! Unlike hair rebond and keratin treatments, there aren’t any restrictions with styling— clip it, put it behind ears, and style it whatever you want, it’ll just go back in shape. You can wash it as soon as you get home without waiting to do so.
The stylist told me that this will last for at least 12 weeks or so if I’ll take care of it. After my salon session, I immediately bought a set of sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner to preserve the treatment.
I really thank Mary Pauline Salon Main Square for my hair makeover. I really enjoyed my stay and I love how the staff are so friendly and discuss each process before applying the products to my hair. It’s a good thing actually that they tell you what they apply so you’re also aware of what’s happening. In my case, I felt some weirdly hot and cold sensation during the process, but I didn’t freak out because they explained to me beforehand.
I highly recommend for you to opt for Brazilian Blowout it’s definitely worth it! Schedule your appointment now at Mary Pauline Salon Main Square and avail their promo packages, super great deal!

This post reminded me that i need to get my hair colored soon. The grey hairs are already peeking out haha! Wait, Main Square is really near my place!
Great! Their packages are really affordable plus their staff are very nice and friendly too. Look for Mitch and Mark as stylist, really great duo! After a week, my hair is still smooth no need to brush actually hehe and hair is still shiny. ✨
Sa lahat po ba ng mary pauline salon may brazilian blow out, and how much?
I’m not sure since Mary Pauline Salons are franchise owned. Usually, Brazilian Blowout costs about PHP 2,500 to PHP 4,000. The branch where I had mine was at Main Square Bacoor, you can check out the prices on the link provided above. ????????
I went to Mary Pauline Montalban Branch and asked for the same treatment. I read your post so I already know what to expect. What the stylist did to my hair was only put one solution, left if for more than an hour, blowdried and then ironed it. I am not sure if thats the right way. 🙁
Hi, I’m pretty much sure that was not the right treatment. The Original Brazilian Blowout requires three steps for you to achieve. You may need to get back to check. Hope that would be good!
Hi. What chemical po they use on your treatment? Thanks.
Hiii! They used the Original Brazilian Blowout treatment!
